CONGRATS to Corinne Harris, Silver Medalist!

At the first routines competition for the Pacific Association of Synchronized Swimming in Northern California last weekend (March 1st), not many Soloists earned bragging rights for being in the TOP 3 in their age groups. In fact, what makes Corinne's bragging rights extra special is that she is an athlete with a disability (Autism).

Corinne swims for the Cypress Synchro Club (Seaside) in the Northern California area bay city of Monterey. Her coach, Patricia Jones said that although Corinne is their first AWD synchro swimmer, she can swim synchro exceptionally well. Coach Patricia was most impressed with her figures at the figures meet in January, saying that she ranked very high and hopes that she will stay swimming with Cypress.

Well Corinne, we hope so to. At this rate, the best is yet to come. It is swimmers like Corinne who will convince the Paralympic International Committee that synchronized swimming should be a sport featured in the Paralympic Games. Congrats on your Silver Medal Corinne! And, Kudos to the Cypress Swim Club for incorporating Corinne into their synchro program. Said Head Coach Patricia, 'It was easier' than she thought and she anticipates accepting more AWD to her synchro programs which offers Novice, Intermediate, Age group, Junior and Senior levels as well as Masters which caters to adults over 21.
